Happy Fake-Anniversary!

I love anniversaries. I love sweet cards, little presents, and going out for dinner. And one month is a pretty big accomplishment, right? So, we celebrated our one month anniversary. I bought James a couple of little presents, and tried to give him plenty of reminders. But, my procrastinating husband once again decided to let me pick out my own gift. Now, this might be offensive to some of you more experienced wives, but I love shopping, so it's really a present all on it's own. :) The scene of the crime: Belk. Every woman knows you don't go to Belk looking to spend $20. But James thought it sounded like a quick and easy stop. Poor guy. After trying on a dozen dresses, and a few, "What do you mean that dress costs a $100, is it made out of gold?" which were quickly followed by, "If you want it, get it.". (Code for, "let's go"). We made our way into the shoe department. After finding a pair of boots, which James insisted on paying for with "his" debit card, we made our way home. I  waited patiently upstairs for a while before becoming suspicious. I found my husband in the basement, covering my precious boot-box in electrical tape. Hysterical. We typically save that ritual for Christmas, so I questioned him as to the reason for this insanity. His reply: "This is to teach you we don't celebrate fake anniversaries." I love my husband.
