Behind the Scenes

Ever wonder what's going on in the days and hours before a wedding? All the little things that go wrong, or get worked out at just the last second? Here's a few of our behind the scene moments:

1. I had bought James an amazing pair of Superman cuff links for his tux. I was supposed to send them down while he was getting dressed. Could only find one. I was disappointed, but decided there was nothing that could be done. At the reception, I found out that not only did James not have his Superman cuff links, the rental ones were missing too. See photo booth pictures for the results. :)
* The cuff links were found the NIGHT of the wedding while I was going through my bag. *

2. We had planned to give our moms and grandmothers roses during the unity candle song. The florist had forgot them, so James picked some up the morning of the wedding. During the beginning of the ceremony, I noticed they weren't on the front pew as planned. Improvising, I told James we would just hug them instead.
*James had spotted the roses on the fourth pew, but I was so nervous, I didn't give him a chance to get them. We later passed them out at the reception. *

3. The headband I wore was purchased the MORNING OF THE WEDDING! I just couldn't find exactly what I wanted, so I had pretty much given up. Mom and Catherine definitely delivered on that one!

4. While at the salon, we got a call that the CD that for the lighting of the unity candle wasn't working. After sending Celeste back to our house, we made a new one, which, thankfully, worked perfectly!

5. We didn't have a toss bouquet. Last minute solution: Steal a bridesmaid one!

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make our wedding day so beautiful! All the not so perfect moments make it even more memorable!

Those are the main ones I can think of right now, if you have any others, feel free to share!
